I've decided to take a short break from Facebook. I don't know exactly how long my hiatus will last (probably not too long), but I'm giving it a try. I spent too much time on that website. However, since Facebook is basically ubiquitous, I do feel like I'm cutting myself off somewhat. It's depressing to be that connected to people, yet so distant from them at the same time. I realize now that this will be horrible for publicity for my blog as well. But, I write as much for myself as I do for others, so that isn't particularly bothersome.
Also funny, I realized this blog's login is based on an email that doesn't exist. Whoops.
EDIT: Goddammit, Facebook. In practice, "deactivating" an account is the same as logging off. It seems this is a call for personal responsibility and restraint. In a way, I'm thankful for this Facebook. Making people show their own initiative isn't too common presently. In other news, I think I might be insane. I keep addressing Facebook like it's a person. That should probably stop.
